Welcome
Inniscarra Sailing & Kayaking Club operates from Inishleena Recreation Area on Inniscarra Lake, just 9 minutes drive from Ballincollig & 20 minutes drive from Cork City, where kayaking & sailing events take place throughout the year. The lake is sheltered and has no tides, so it is great for beginners.
Dinghy Sailing
Sailing at Inniscarra lake usually takes place on Sundays, subject to weather and other commitments. Gates generally open at 1pm, boats on the water by 2pm. Club Larks, Lasers, Optimists and Toppers are available for members on a first come, first served basis, so don’t worry if you don’t have a boat! During the summer, we also will have mid-week sailing sessions on Wednesday evenings. The gates open for these evening sailing sessions at 6.30pm, aiming to be on the water before 7pm, and off the water again around 8.30pm.
Kayaking
Kayaking usually takes place on Sundays, subject to weather and other commitments. During the summer, we have very popular Thursday evening kayaking sessions at the lake, in addition to regular excursions elsewhere. Contact us for further details.
