We are a small but passionate, Family-Friendly sailing club

Catering for sailors of all levels of experience from absolute Novices to World Champions! We are always keen to welcome new members, and would be delighted if you wanted to call to us and experience the atmosphere on any of our sailing days. We provide informal training sessions throughout the sailing season. Depending on demand, we may run ISA accredited sailing courses during the summer.

About the Club

Inniscarra Sailing and Kayaking Club was set up in 2002. We operate on Inniscarra Lake just upstream of Inniscarra Dam from a recreation area called “Inishleena” with the kind permission of the ESB. In 2004, the club put in its own dedicated slipway and, since then, we have expanded and secured the boat storage areas to allow members leave their dinghies and kayaks at the club. We were delighted to be awarded over €9000 by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport 2018 – Sports Capital Programme. These funds have been used for equipment, and continuing the on-going fleet expansion of our club fleet of dinghies, kayaks in addition to having 2 safety boats in operation during most club activities on the lake.
